ALL BEHIND THE SCENES

Roof & Glazing

As the doors open outwards we had to dig the lawn out so we can create a retaining wall and flag the walkway.  Not sure how Tim will make good round the side of the house but he has a plan.  I would like a mix of a slope and a step I think…

Tim & Andy working on the roof joists…Even though the roof is flat it needs a slight incline so it can drain…

Tim let my youngest scamper up the plank onto the roof.  He is used to climbing up the scaffolding but we haven’t had any on this project.

Tim has finished the rubber roof and roof window just in time for the storms that are due… Not sure where I get my gypsy genes from…Finally we can see what the view from the extension will be like.  Ahhhh love the summerhouse…Sparky has been and done first fix…Roof window is looking good, can’t wait to knock through so the extension is part of the house…Will be fun getting wheelbarrows of concrete round here for the floor…Kingspan insulation time…I have moved into the back bedroom to spare my youngest from the dust (there wasn’t much). The window hasn’t really been compromised with the extension being smaller…Time to fit the doors, then we will be secure…Love this picture of the guys holding the door in place as the sun streams into the room (great team)…The anthracite doors look really smart, I am delighted with them…The view from the summerhouse…
