Creating a Breakfast Nook

This was my first house post divorce and it was a considerable downsize for us, but we were really excited to make the space work better.  When we moved in there was a pantry in the corner (top left of picture).  I love potential and enjoyed figuring out how best to configure the space.  The house belonged to a friend of mine and was already gorgeous but I really wanted to put my own stamp on it and create a bigger dining space.

There was a small space for a table but I wanted to make it bigger as I like to have friends round for food & drinks…

To the right of the picture was a doorway through to the hall, coat cupboard and downstairs bathroom.

I wanted to knock out the pantry, coat cupboard and use a square of the hallway to move the wall back a meter and create a breakfast nook in the kitchen.

When the painting is finished I will get lots of cushions for the fitted bench and wallpaper a feature wall when I have chosen which wallpaper I want.
